Más de Wheeler

Aquí les dejo unas frases selectas de Don Archibaldo, quien trabajó con Bohr, inventó la S-Matrix y la función de onda del Universo y le dió su nombre a los agujeros negros.

You can talk about people like Buddha, Jesus, Moses, Confucius, but the thing that convinced me that such people existed were the conversations with Bohr.

Time is what prevents everything from happening at once.

If you haven’t found something strange during the day, it hasn’t been much of a day.

In any field, find the strangest thing and then explore it.

There is no law other than the law that there is no law.

As surely as we now know how tangible water forms out of invisible vapor, so surely we shall someday know how the universe comes into being.

All things physical are information-theoretic in origin and this is a participatory universe…. Observer participancy gives rise to information; and information gives rise to physics.

Behind it all is surely an idea so simple, so beautiful, that when we grasp it — in a decade, a century, or a millennium — we will all say to each other, how could it have been otherwise? How could we have been so stupid?

Some people think Wheeler’s gotten crazy in his later years, but he’s always been crazy.
Richard Feynman

For me, he was the last Titan, the only physics superhero still standing.
Max Tegmark
